Dairy cattle are the cattle cows bred in order to produce large quantities of milk in order to produce various dairy products. Veterinary diseases are of prime concern as they pose a risk to public health and cause damage to economy of the state. Several factors like poor sanitation and improper management are cited for the transmission and advancement of these diseases. Some of the diseases associated with dairy cattle are bacteria spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease), digital dermatitis, anthrax and pneumonia. Proper hygiene and use of vaccinations are some of the preventive measures taken to ensure efficient production and improve the general health of dairy cattle. The book aims to shed light on some of the unexplored aspects of diseases in dairy cattle and the recent researches in this field.
