Raascal is a young friend of Rupert's who isn't very pleased to be a rabbit at all, because it's not nearly as exciting as being able to swim all day (like a fish), or change colors and climb trees (like a lizard), or any other number of things. But it is Raascal's long rabbit ears which allow him to hear Savannah crying as she heads towards the river, out of control. Savannah is a young girl who is Autistic, and has eloped.
