This book of verses is an expression of a woman who feels trapped in her marriage. She finds herself surrounded by people, yet feels lonely. She is unable to voice her concerns, her feelings, her longings, which come out in the form of poems. The main theme running through the poems is the longings of a woman for true love and happiness. No one knows the longings of her heart, she faithfully takes care of the needs of others, while neglecting herself and her needs. She finds it difficult to open up to her husband, as he is never around. More than her husband, she is married to her inlaws.
