The dietary restrictions that come with medical diagnosis can be challenging and confusing. Ninja foods are a fun and engaging way to involve children in the process of figuring out what foods are okay to eat and the foods that they should avoid. As a family, we have had to adapt to dietary restrictions as a result of Lyme disease and coinfections. The concept of ninja foods came as I was helping my son, who was four at the time, cope with the drastic dietary changes that had to occur as we began the process of treating Lyme disease. The concept of ninja foods can be used across many different medical conditions and diagnosis that children face.
