A true story and inside look into the opioid epidemic. The story unfolds in a series of text messages between family members during a 12 day span. It is a raw and intimate first-hand sharing of the impact of drug addiction. It examines the issues of having a loved one fighting addiction. Medical and psychological consequences are explored. It is intended to provoke re-thinking of common stereotypes about addicts by telling one personal story about the illness. This is in contrast to the practice of automatically putting addicts in to one big faceless category. Each addict is an individual with a unique story that is battling a horrifying illness.
