This book is a collection of the poems, visions, dreams and provocations that I have written throughout the past six years of my devotion to the Goddess Babalon. Some of these pieces I composed, consciously and carefully. The best of them came like a flood and were written with a pressure that flowed directly from my unconscious through to my fingers. I call this process channelling, for like the tides I am helpless to resist this pressure. These writings chart my story as a Priestess and Devotee through a series of loves and losses, fertilities and fallow years. Throughout all, Our Lady was my constant companion: this is my magical record, a map of the secret caves we have created together. This is a Reliquary of the Imaginal, a storehouse of images of the Infinite Goddess, Our Lady of the Compost Heap. Flick through its pages and discover Her worlds.
