Vinukonda Vallabharaya
Kridabhiramamu, is a highly eroticised one-act play in Telugu authored in the early 15th century by Vinukonda Vallabharaya, a native of Mopuru in the Andhra country. This dramatic work belongs to the genre of vithi-natakamu or 'street play' which typically has an erotic theme and is enacted by one or two main characters. The hero of Vallabharaya's play is the Brahmin playboy Govinda Mancana Sarma who wanders around the Kakatiya capital of Warangal with his merchant-companion Tittibha Setti in search of his estranged lover Kama-manjari. The play concludes on a happy note of reunion while Tittibha Setti is also fixed up with a courtesan.
