The boundary between human and monster is blurred The sleepy town of Littlewater in upstate New York is home to apple orchards, vinyards, and a residential school for juvenile delinquents. It is also home to a local urban legend of a cryptid creature, dubbed Woody, that stalks the woods at night, snatching pets and animals. Mark and his wife, Wendy, relocate from the Bronx to Littlewater after a brutal home invasion. Leaving everything they know behind for the slower pace of rustic life, Mark obtains a job as the school psychologist. Two of his students, Laquan and Hector, sneak out into the woods one night and encounter the strange creature, barely escaping with their lives. Further breaching the barrier between legend and reality, the creature makes contact with Wendy. She and Laquan subsequently experience grisly visions, and people start disappearing and returning as the living dead. After a neighbor's son is abducted, Mark, Wendy, and their neighbor venture into the dark woods to find him. That very same night, on a dare, Laquan and Hector sneak out again with a sadistic bully, and they all converge upon a terrible secret buried in the woods. The boundary between human and monster is blurred as they all must confront their fears and each other, all coming to the same conclusion... The Dark is Full of Monsters.
