This fictional dialogue about how Christians should deal with troubles and persecution is set in Hungary immediately prior to an attack by the Ottoman Empire. It was written in the Tower of London while More awaited execution for his religious beliefs. St. Thomas More was chancellor of England, a humanist philosopher, and an early science fiction writer. He was also a good husband and father, and advocate of education for women. He died a martyr under his former friend, King Henry VIII.
