The Doom of the Griffiths

The Doom of the Griffiths Elizabeth Gaskell Elizabeth Gaskell(1810 - 1865) was a Victorian novelist, born in London. Her writing career started with the publication of Mary Barton (1848), a bestseller. She later wrote for Dickens Household Words, and her biography The Life of Charlotte Bronte (1855) brought her great fame. Gaskell's sociological novels portray minutely the culture and class structure she saw around her. We are delighted to publish this classic book as part of our extensive Classic Library collection. Many of the books in our collection have been out of print for decades, and therefore have not been accessible to the general public.
