Uncle Bill's Humorous Side
Greg Pierce
Out of a life of tragedy W. O. "Uncle Bill" Wheeless turned to poetry writing over 5,000 works before his death in 1963. This is a collection of his more humorous poems and limericks pulled from his greater volumes. Although he only had a basic elementary education and that in the late 1800's he lived in a world of rhyme. Mr. Wheeless saw poetry in Mosquito Troubles, Corn Bread, Ants, The Possum Family, Women and of course Growing Old...and sometimes he seems to make rhyme just for rhyming sake.
