Book updated Feb 2021. In Alabama, a general contractor who works on a commercial or industrial project that costs $50000 or more must get a license. For a residential project the limit is $10000. It is the State Licensing Board for General Contractors that administers licensing. There is a MUST-TAKE Business and Law exam which covers a wide range of fundamental topics. There is no way you can pass the exam without having solid real world experience. Our notes give you knowledge, principles and concepts.
