Homo sapiens, wise men, exist at the apex of a dynamic and complex food chain on the planet Earth. As the apex predator with multiple intelligence and creative imagination, Homo sapiens possess an innate capacity for survival. From the creative imagination of our species evolved all of the creations that gave us advantages over other living creatures. But, this very capacity brings us to the brink of an unknown future in which every skill we have learned might not be enough to protect us. The idea that Homo sapiens can become extinct seems extreme, however; our species is capable of supreme benevolence and extreme violence. It is men who threaten their own existence and unless we develop new habits and alter the trajectory of our impact, Homo sapiens might be replaced by Homo Machina. In the future of the machine and a species without introspective ability, our brains and emotional intelligence will be meaningless. In our search to understand self, we find traces of man's presence on Earth only for sixty-six million years.
