Julia Fairchild jets off to Paris with her sister Carly for a two-week vacation, which will include spending some time with Julia's long-distance beau Josh. Everything goes fine at first--well, almost, unless you count Josh's no-show at the airport and his change in hotel plans. Things get worse when Josh's partner dies after a business appetizer party catered by Julia and Carly. Julia worries that Josh will wear the orange stripes of jail inmates unless she and Carly can find the real murderer.

The sisters manage to spend some time enjoying the beauty and magic of the "City of Light" but there seems to be some kind of trouble around every corner. And Josh isn't helping enough to suit Julia. Is he hiding something? Could he be guilty?
