The girl in the story does not treat people well and because of her actions, she becomes a chicken. The boy grows up to be respectful and kind.
The prince and the chicken meet in unusual circumstances with neither knowing the other's true identity. A baker plays a key role in how the two meet. This story is the journey of how the chicken is transformed back into a girl and the role the prince and two dreams play in that transformation.
