The Apple Tree tells the story of Lucius William Hailey and his wife, Olivia, who planted an apple tree on their land in the community of Coley Hill in Wadesboro, North Carolina many years ago. Told from the viewpoint of "Mr. Will" (as he was called by friends and neighbors), The Apple Tree is based on a true story of how a simple act of planting, growing, and harvesting apples yielded life-long lessons of faith, family and friendship that remain to this day.
