Come What May

This is a story of the love, caring and devotion shared by two immigrants, Penelope and Thomas Watts when they leave England to come to Australia in 1858. The happiness, tragedy, hardship and heartbreak encountered when circumstances force them to separate, and a poignant story of 'man against the elements' when they try to reunite.

May Fortune Smile

'May Fortune Smile' follows the story of Penelope and Thomas Watts, who sailed from England in 1858 on the clipper, 'Conway' to settle to in NSW, Australia. It continues to describe life in the harsh early settlement, but not around Sydney. In this novel, as a result of Tom's surprise Inheritance, he moves his family, by steamship, to the Clarence River, in northern New South Wales. Again, 'May Fortune Smile' is set around the love of these two people, the river and environs, and how they survive new challenges as pioneers of Australia.
