This book takes a step beyond anthropology at home and auto-ethnography and shows how anthropologists can include their memories and experiences as ethnographic data in their writing. It discusses issues such as authenticity, translation and ethics in relation to the self, and offers a new perspective on doing ethnographic fieldwork.

Contributor Bio:  Collins, Peter Peter Collins is a chef in his own right and can create his own great meals in the kitchen. The challenge that he has had in the past was that when he made the attempt to log his recipes, he would end up losing a lot of them as he had too many bits of paper with jottings all over the place. With this in his mind he made the decision to create a blank text that he could use to log all this information and keep it in one place. As he is an established writer it was pretty easy for him to start getting the necessary research done and to figure out the best way that he could put this text together. The thing that he had in his mind was that if someone had a book like this to log family recipes and to log their own modified recipes, they could publish it later on if they wished to do so. The material would already be there for them to use.
