This is the first of two volumes documenting the entire spectrum of public sculpture in Edinburgh, including free-standing commemorative monuments, architectural sculptures, and contemporary site-specific interventions, all presented in both their art-historical and social contexts. The focus here is on the historic Old Town, and the suburbs to the south.
