Have you ever looked closely at an old framed painting, I mean really looked into it...? Well, 10-year-old Tom Ferriston and his 8-year-old brother Charlie did just that and something very bizarre happened!

The Ferriston family have moved into 'Green Willow', their ancestral centuries-old home, where they find a stack of old paintings. Spookily, Tom had painted an identical picture to one of them - before they moved! Apparently 'Green Willow' was built over a time fault. When the fault shifts, Tom and Charlie fall into another dimension - through the portals of paintings - into a world of Dark Forces where they're in grave danger, battling with monstrous evil creatures...
