The Reality of Saving Yourself
Thomas Curry
This is a story about a man that lived his life in multiple systems. He was born into a dysfunctional family with an absent father and a teenage mother. By the time he was to start school, he had to deal with the system of having a drug addict mother. Between the ages of six to nine, he embarked on the horrifying system of living in various foster homes. At the tender age of ten, he entered a system called group school housing. In there, he got a first-class education on violence and something that was equivalent to a degree in cruelness. By the time he was sixteen, he left the group home and applied all he learned to the system of the streets.
