Explosions is a story of our time as it deals with the motivations and implementations of terrorism and the betrayal and exploitation by flawed individuals tasked with its prevention. It also explores the desperate plight of refugees and their perilous journey to freedom and safety and their vulnerability to dark forces with their own agenda. Woven between three families in England and Yemen who suffer profound loss it concludes with a stunning and original climax.

The Distant Voice portrays the story of Josef beginning in the idyllic surroundings of Austria's mountains in 1938 where, with his family, he is transported through the horrors of the Holocaust during which he comes across a German officer who, many years later, will become the nemesis he must strive to defeat.
