Vasso is the eldest child of many, born to her parents Amalia and Aristos and living in Athens. In the late 1930s she is still a young child, so when her parents start attempting to destroy Vasso's virtue by offering her company to older men, she runs away and takes refuge with her uncle. However, Aristos and Amalia are not discouraged and attempt the same with Anna and Olga, Vasso's sisters. Can they find the strength - and should they - to turn in their parents to the authorities?
