Paul Harris has worked for more than fifteen years as a lecturer specializing in modern history and current affairs on cruise ships in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Baltic, Pacific, South China Sea, Red Sea, Indian Ocean and Arabian Gulf. Over the years he has kept a notebook recording some of the more curious incidents and anecdotes of the cruise industry . . . As a former war correspondent and specialist contributor on terrorism and insurgency for Janes Intelligence Review, he says he enjoys 'shedding light in dark corners'. He is the author of more than forty books and lives in the Scottish borders with his wife and a young daughter. His autobiography More Thrills than Skills was published recently.
