Atlantis is a legendary continent that is said to have disappeared sometime in the ancient past. Lewis Spence presents evidence that Atlantis was located somewhere in the western hemisphere, in and around Central America. He does an impressive job of comparing Indian myths from various lands including Peru, Brazil, Central America, North America and the Atlantean story from the great philosopher, Plato. Many myths duplicate themselves, leading one to believe that they had a common source. That source, according to Spence, was Atlantis.
