Greg Darms
Greg Darms' second full-length collection, "Para, Taxis," includes poems, fragments, proverbs, meditative texts, and samples of the author's graphic art as elements of his continuing search for "an art like steel, forged, untarnished within." The texts wander in and out of Pacific Northwest weather and wilderness, the author's own studio, his sister's farm, the Gulf Coast of Florida, and the barrens of Western Nevada. But more than a series of places and occasions, the book is a gestural dance between subject and object, between language and phenomenon, between perception and "this reality-itself, potent as a rock."
