Starting from Fleetwood a small northern fishing port, with lots of ups and downs in her upbringing. Flight to the army after a string of engagements (the romantic type).

Discovery of her sexuality, better late than never! Action packed time in the forces, after making an ignoble exit catapulted into a life in London mainly spent in the sleazy part of Soho where she was introduced to gangsters, drugs, prostitutes and all the rest that the sixties could offer.

Time spent between London and Manchester all presented with lots of humour even through the bad times and a tongue in cheek attitude as she deals with her mother who has decided to latch on and follow her through life!

Her life lurches from one anecdote to the next only calming down when she meets her soul mate and retires to Hayling Island. Or has it?
