Arcus: The colourful tale of a Hedgehog
Deborah McDermott
An ordinary hedgehog going about his hedgehog ways. He tells us what he gets up too at night and what his favourite foods are. He then continues to tell us that he needs to tell us something so magical that happened today. Last night a sunny but wet evening, he wakes up from his bed to suddenly be confronted with flashes of various vibrant colours that make him dizzy and fall to the ground. He then awakes to the sun shining and is very confused? He then sees that his brown coat has changed into the most beautiful of rainbow colours. It turns out our prickly character had stumbled into a rainbow, turning his nose to Indigo! Besides this he also is no longer nocturnal and can play in the sunshine. He is very pleased with his transformation as it makes him unique. This now multi - coloured character, states he urgently needs a name and comes up with Arcus (Latin for rainbow). The last surprise is that Arcus can also glow neon at night! Arcus then says goodbye and will see us all soon with another hedgehog tale to tell.
