Born in the last years of WWII in London having survived the German V1 and V2 rockets and seeing the havoc they caused, I grew up seeking opportunities and adventures elsewhere. Australia promised a better life (with sunshine). Those images never left me, I was to become one of the last Ten Pound Poms.
That was over fifty years ago, it has been a successful partnership, Australia and the Cronin clan. Whilst "all that Glitters is not Gold", Australia gave us the adventures and space we as a family desired. I accept that it is reasonable to describe my life as "more Billy Connolly than Bible", it depends I suppose on whether you like Billy Connolly. Who wants to be considered a Saint anyway?
