Strong black women in America for centuries have been holding it down. As a progeny from you, I would like to personally thank our black sistas, black mothers and black leaders for raising us in a society which has been constant attempt to separate and marginalize our lives, cultures and livelihoods.

Although, we may not see eye-to-eye sometimes, we, black men, are more than ever greatly in need of your support, softness and advice in survival of these hellish times.

Sistas Stay Strong, is my personal dedication of celebrating black women in poetry from son to mother wherever you maybe on God's green Earth.
