This book is the product of the researcher‟s thesis which investigated the effective management of records at Ministry of Finance and Economic Development (MoFED), Sierra Leone in relation to good governance, accountability and transparency. This book is a multi-purpose book for every library, Archive and information studies students, Ministry, Department, and Agencies (MDAs) that may like to know the status of records management system in Sierra Leone; Researchers whether within or liberal Art or the other disciplines that may like to know the procedure of using descriptive statistics to analyse research data, using statistical formula to test hypotheses like the Z-score methods in this book. The objectives of the study were to: identify the types of records generated and received by MoFED; identify the records structures, procedures and regulatory requirements governing their keeping; investigate whether or not the management of records at MoFED is consistent with the life cycle concept of records keeping; investigate staff training and competency in records keeping at MoFED; investigate the challenges staff and users face in managing and using records at MoFED; explore the relationship between the MoFED registry/administration and the National Archives among others.
