Hope Bailiff
Hope Frances Flanders Danielson Tower Bailiff was born on Martha's Vineyard in the fishing village Indians called Menemsha Creek on June 29, 1918. It was a good place and a good time to be born. She wrote this book as a collection of her memories from various stages of her life. What emerges from this anthology is the portrait of a talented and spirited woman -- in other words, she is an "Up Island Woman."
