This book, "Finding Our Indian Blood" has more twists and turns tracing our Indian heritage than a corkscrew, but you will get to the point; it unravels Indian ancestry in a series of historical documents that are an invaluable source of genealogical and family research. I have never read a patch work of authentic records and original source documents that clarifies the subject matter more concisely; revelations of family lineage in tracing ones Indian bloodlines are remarkable. I am honored to give this book a very positive review because of its pure historical content; Mr. Vance Hawkins takes nothing for granted, does not make any assumptions, and allows historical records and documents to direct his writings and conclusions. I am also honored that Mr. Hawkins quoted my work several times throughout his book; I have read portions of the book several times and found it a learning experience for myself.
