Imani Trials, the Struggle for Survival, represents a significant contribution to the understanding of our country immigration path for over 500 years and the afflictions of our immigrants to the fabric of North America. Qualls produced a clear and well researched document that provides the reader with the struggles and contributions of the American Indians; the European colonists; the waves of European immigrants seeking refuge from famine, war, and poverty; the African-American struggles under slavery and the civil rights movement. Lastly, the writer described how the Hispanics, Asians, and Middle Eastern immigrants have contributed to the U. S. history mosaic with their culture, ethnicity, race, and economic influence of what we call North America.
