What happens when a shapeshifting alien, incapable of feeling emotion, falls in love? Banned from Earth, Shapers live hidden among us. When Earthman Thomas Echo breaks Dahlia's heart, the Shaper's revenge leads to its capture by a mysterious man known only as Rush, the head of a secret government agency. Forced to comply with the agency's demands or be "cleansed", our hero/heroine must use all its resources in order to escape. Yet complications arise when the Shaper's discovery of Rush's secret binds their fates together in an unexpected way.
