Lateese Moore was born and raised in Detroit, MI which is one of the most treacherous and dangerous cities in America. An unfortunate incident happened to her in her childhood, she was molested. As time went on, she began a chain of events through the wilderness that included drugs and alcohol. As the vicious cycle of addiction intensified her pain it evolved into homelessness, hunger, brokenness, depression, and many other elements. On her search for freedom, her pen became her lethal weapon against the adversary of her soul. She found freedom in writing poetry.
