She is the Educational Outreach Writer and Program Coordinator for the Smithsonian Latino Virtual Museum in Washington D. C. She has a MFA in Bilingual Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso. She currently resides in the outskirts of El Paso, Texas, with her husband and three children.
