Reflections of a Chicago Black Man
Arthur Brown Morrison
The author of this book was born in Chicago, Illinois on the Southside. He attended public elementary and high school in Chicago. He also attended college in the Chicago area. He works full time and continues to reflect on life's mysteries. Although having limited discretionary time, he felt compelled to explore the art and complexity of the writer's craft. His book of poetry and prose is dedicated to all the brothers who wanted to, but didn't get a chance to live their dreams. The following excerpt from his poem titled "for Writers" expresses this sentiment as derived from conversations with friends and acquaintances over the years.
