For as long as he can remember, John has lived his life from a wheelchair. He longed to become a crime fighter - the sort of hero who defeats criminals and defends the just. But when friends and family mocked and discouraged his dream, he wondered if they were right. How could a wheelchair-bound person achieve such lofty and noble goals? Yet John refuses to give up.

He works day in and day out at growing physically strong and mentally smart, and along the way learns new skills and enhances the gifts and qualities born within. Someday, he believes, he will prove everybody wrong.
