Shrouded in naiveté, I was beyond elated to visit the continent of Africa, a far and exotic land for the first time. Specifically, a country named Djibouti, a place I had done little to no research, assuming the cultural shock would be little to none. Unbeknownst to me, I was in for an adventure and experience that I would have never thought in a million years would happen to me. Almost parallel to the movie "Captain Phillips", flashbacks began to haunt me of my time spent in the horn of Africa. Based on my personal experience and factual events, come join me on my quest to return to my homeland and get back to my family through the unshakable and miraculous guidance of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
