This story is about a little city girl named Jennie who believes she could do anything in life. In her pass time, she loves spending time at her dad's ranch to help him feed his animals. While feeding the animals, she also enjoys cleaning and petting them. Jennie likes all kinds of animals. However, she loves horses.

Few days before her birthday, her dad gets her a pony; but he does not tell her about it until the night before. That night, as they were sitting on the dining table eating, Jennie's dad tells her he has a surprise for her birthday. Suddenly Jennie becomes very excited and wants to know what and where the gift is. The next day, Jennie and her dad arrive at the farm. When Jennie finally sees the pony, she gets very excited and she could not believe her eyes. She then tries to catch the pony by running after it, but she is not able to because the pony does not have a rope on its neck and it is a little bit wild.
