The River Cries, a Historical Novel of a trip down the rivers of the Ohio and Mississippi to New Orleans. Ride along the river in a craft called The River Shadow, its crew of adventure followers, a man of dreams with a woman of Gypsy spirit, and Christian heart. Joining with them a woman of music, another woman a Dwarf and woodcarver, and a dog called Hook. Life comes at them from all directions yet this band of misfits becomes a family of souls taking on an ever-changing river and some Ghost of the past. They face attacks and danger hand in hand while a dog becomes a hero several times over. Follow along like Tom and Huck for an adventure ride of your life and find why, the river cries.




Mike a Christian Writer has followed the call of that Greater Spirit in his stories and poems. Expressing with ink that becomes his blood and beating heart. Kentucky born with the Old School way of storytelling. His life traves had taken him worldwide giving a storehouse of materials that fall to the pages. He studied at Old Dominion University, Norfolk Virginia, and William and Mary, Richmond Virginia, but his real education is life itself and the hand of God. Now living happily in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife Susan.
