Restaurateur and ex-detective, Antonio Cortese, is still trying to recover from tragic loss when the world crashes down on him again. His new love, the beautiful Carabinieri detective, Gabriella, loses her brother and wife in a suspicious accident in Tuscany. A day later, Antonio receives a call for help from his uncle Nicolo, lead detective in Siena. Antonio's cousin Raphael, a policeman in Firenze, has disappeared.
Antonio returns to Italy, only to find out that there are major problems at home in Seattle vying for his attention as well, not the least of which is his mother coming down with this dangerous new virus called Covid19.
Raphael was assigned to a task force dealing with child prostitution, human trafficking, and slavery, primarily dealing with the ruthless Nigerian mob. Efforts to find him prove to be contentious and extremely and dangerous. The clock is ticking and there is far more at stake than initially meets the eye.
