In this superbly detailed examination of the New Testament, Scofield demonstrates how dispensationalism can aid Christians in receiving the true meaning of the scriptures. Making careful distinctions between the gospels and the nature of Christian belief, Scofield demonstrates how God divided the various gospels over time, and explains how to distinguish between these divisions.

Throughout this work we observe how the author supports his words with frequent quotations of the scripture. C. I. Scofield wrote many books advancing thought on Christian subjects, and was particularly important for informing Christian believers of dispensationalism. After an early life spent in Army service and as a lawyer, Scofield undertook his spiritual journey by spending decades preaching. He also wrote his famous reference Bible, and founded the Central American Mission.
