The Story of Esther is the account of a young Jewish woman in Persia around 480 BC. Her people are in exile and she is an orphan. With the assistance of her cousin, Mordecai, the love of a king, and the providence of God, she eventually becomes queen of Persia. Most impressively, God uses Esther to become a savior of the Jewish people and a hero to us all. Within the 60 pages are seven devotions. The first lesson is a poetic version of the text, written with the aid of up to twenty versions of the Bible. It is a paraphrased version designed to acquaint the reader with the account. The remaining six devotions, will focus on application to every day life.
