2018 Poetry Challenge Jennifer Dotson
2018 Poetry Challenge
Jennifer Dotson
In 2018, Highland Park Poetry challenged poets of all ages to write about Electricity (honoring the 75th anniversary of Nikola Tesla's death), Monsters (recognizing the 200th publication anniversary of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's Frankenstein) and a Golden Shovel, a poetic form created by Terence Hayes honoring the former Illinois Poet Laureate Gwendolyn Brooks. This collection represents the selected poems chosen by our guest judges Sue Roupp, Janet Hale Tabin, and Sofia M. Starnes.
