The Snow tribe, humanity's communication engineers are in the middle of ensuring that all the forms of communication across Reviathan are fully synchronized to allow translations across languages and technologies. No-one should be left unable to express their views or needs. Alandra, a young Snow tribe member, finds herself called to follow messages left by her late grandmother. As she struggles in her journey towards understanding her own gifts she stumbles on challenges that she could not have imagined. How will she overcome the power struggles and lack of understanding between different Stream tribe factions?
