Lost in Translation: Difficulties in Translating English Humour

My thesis attempts to show how English humour is translated into Hungarian by using various examples taken from British productions shown on television. The goal is to analyse different strategies such as lexical and grammatical trans-shifting in the texts why they have or haven't been used. To demonstrate this I will provide various examples taken from contemporary scripts such as Little Britain, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Faulty Towers, etc.
