China's Growth and Development: Implications for East Asian Economies
Jessica Xu
China?s economy has grown rapidly since the implementation of a comprehensive set of economic reforms that was initiated in 1978. The emergence of China has substantially affected the trade and output patterns of other economies, particularly the East Asian economies, which are closely integrated with China through trade. The ongoing development in China poses significant structural changes for the East Asian economies. This book assesses quantitatively the effects of China?s growth and development on China and its neighbouring East Asian economies using a multi-sector, multi-region dynamic computable general equilibrium model.
