Dr Ndikaru wa Teresia presents an air quality assessment for eight years research whose purpose was rooted in the historical concerns about harmful industrial pollution within one of the more deprived Thika urban residential areas in Kenya and by the necessity of which the objects had not only to be well focused but also relevant. The author concept of strategizing had to ensure that at the end of it all, the expected outcomes addressed the hitherto felt needs for reliable baseline information, upon which sustainable interventions would be based. Author sincerely hope is that the outputs of this book would carry with them opportunities for the betterment of certain aspects in the quality of the environment and by extension an improvement in the livelihoods of the residents of Kenya and world at large.
